Agroland Effectively Manages Its Business with Senior Software Solutions
Agroland, the leading national supplier of day-old chicks, has been efficiently managing and controlling its business since implementing a flexible and customizable suite of software applications from Senior Software. Prior to investing in cutting-edge technologies, operational workflows were disconnected, data processing took up to ten days, and generating analyses and reports on profitability, sales, customers, and other key aspects was a challenge. Additionally, the Agroland team lacked a clear and real-time overview of certain business situations, negatively impacting decision-making and the retailer’s growth plans.
“Before implementing the SeniorERP system, we experienced significant delays in obtaining information about our stores’ activity and distribution network. We wanted to open more stores and attract more franchise partners, but the lack of timely data prevented us from making the right decisions. Agroland sells products both through its nationwide physical stores and via its B2B and B2C e-commerce platforms, which are natively integrated with the SeniorERP solution. Thanks to system connectivity, the company—boasting a turnover of approximately €70 million—has automated its entire sales process, from order placement to product delivery, improving order processing speed by 50%.
With the WMS solution, which is connected to the resource management system and online sales platforms, customer and store replenishment orders are seamlessly transmitted to the warehouse without errors. Furthermore, operators work more efficiently and in an organized manner, quickly and accurately locating items during the picking process. These improvements have optimized logistics operations and increased satisfaction among both employees and customers.
“Through the B2B portal, customers now have access to our full range of products and can easily place orders. They can check item availability in real-time, and for us, order collection has become much simpler. The WMS system has enabled us to increase the number of received and shipped pallets and track inventory, which is crucial given that we sell many products with short shelf lives. Since our stores and partners have different requirements regarding product categories and subcategories, we often need to mix various product types on the same pallet. WMS has helped us in this regard, allowing us to optimize warehouse operations by 50-60%, which has significantly contributed to our growth,” added Horia Cardoș.
Looking ahead, Agroland plans to open new locations and strengthen its position both in Romania and internationally, a development that will be supported by modern solutions from Senior Software.
