Alumil Rom Industry SA will have a new General Manager starting October 9, 2026, after the company’s Board of Directors appointed Kleanthis Efkarpidis to lead its Romanian operations. Efkarpidis will also join the company’s Board of Directors.

The management change follows the resignation of Marius Ioniță, who is ending his 25-year career with Alumil Romania. His mandate will officially end on October 9, following an agreement between the two parties and a coordinated handover of responsibilities.

Ioniță joined Alumil in 2001 and held several positions within the company, with responsibilities spanning financial planning, business development and operations. He was appointed General Manager of Alumil Romania in 2018 and has led the company for the past eight years.

“Alumil has been an essential part of my professional journey. During my 25 years with the company, I had the opportunity to grow alongside the business, lead important projects and work with a valuable team,” Ioniță said as he prepares to leave the company.

Kleanthis Efkarpidis takes over the company’s leadership

Efkarpidis has extensive knowledge of the Romanian market and of Alumil’s local operations. From October, he will oversee the company’s activities and ongoing projects.

The new General Manager said his immediate focus will be maintaining business continuity while continuing to implement the company’s existing strategic direction.

“My priority will be to consistently implement the company’s objectives, maintain operational stability and further develop relationships with customers and business partners,” Efkarpidis said.

According to the company, the management transition will not affect its ongoing development plans. Alumil Romania intends to continue investments in operational efficiency, digitalization and solutions aimed at improving the energy performance of buildings.
