After completing the succession process initiated following the death of founder Giorgio Armani, the company has announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors. The board consists of eight members, including three representatives of the Armani family. Armani, who passed away on September 4, 2025 in Milan, left a profound legacy rooted in design excellence, business ethics and a distinctive vision of luxury.

According to the official statement, the succession process unfolded smoothly and in line with the established timeline. The new governing body includes four non-executive directors with backgrounds in fashion, finance and corporate leadership, alongside the CEO and general manager, the only executive member responsible for day-to-day operations.

Pantaleo Dell’Orco has been appointed chairman of the Board, while Giuseppe Marsocci takes on the role of CEO and general manager. The full Board of Directors includes: Pantaleo Dell’Orco (chairman), Silvana Armani (director), Andrea Camerana (director), Giuseppe Marsocci (CEO and general manager), Marco Bizzarri (director), John Hooks (director), Federico Marchetti (director) and Angelo Moratti (director).

The Giorgio Armani Foundation will retain at least 30% of the company’s capital, ensuring adherence to the guidelines and principles established by the founder — regardless of future shareholder changes or a potential public listing.

“The new Board of Directors is composed of family members and long-standing collaborators of Mr. Armani, supported by independent professionals with recognized expertise. This is the strongest guarantee for preserving, enhancing and modernizing his vision of beauty, his business model and the ethical values he built over more than 50 years,” stated Pantaleo Dell’Orco.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the Italian luxury house, ensuring continuity and safeguarding the artistic and ethical heritage established by Giorgio Armani throughout his career.
