K-FOOD Romania is opening a new flagship store in downtown Pitesti on July 4, featuring a stylish Ramen Bar, outdoor terrace, and exclusive launch surprises. The move marks a strategic expansion in the Korean food retail sector.

K-FOOD Romania strengthens its national footprint with a new flagship location in Pitesti, blending retail with Korean lifestyle

On July 4, 2025, K-FOOD Romania – the largest Korean food retail chain in the country – will officially open a new store in the heart of Pitesti, located at 28 Victoriei Street. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the new location brings more than groceries – it offers an immersive cultural experience.

This store stands out by integrating a stylish Ramen Bar, inspired by popular K-drama and K-pop aesthetics, and an outdoor terrace, designed for enjoying authentic Korean delicacies in a relaxed atmosphere.

“We are thrilled to bring the flavors and spirit of Korea to Pitești,” said Saenuri Park, administrator of K-FOOD Romania. “The Korean Wave – or Hallyu – is stronger than ever in Romania. Our new store will offer not only essential Korean groceries and snacks, but also experiences that connect fans more closely to the culture they love.”

This expansion is part of a deliberate growth strategy by K-FOOD Romania, which already operates four locations in Bucharest (Aviației, Unirii, Titan, Dorobanți), along with stores in Ploiesti and Craiova. The Pitesti store continues this trend, reinforcing K-FOOD’s position as the go-to destination for Korean food enthusiasts in Romania.

To celebrate the grand opening, customers visiting on July 4 will enjoy special prizes, free Korean products, and in-store promotions throughout the day — the perfect occasion for both loyal fans and curious newcomers to explore Korean cuisine.

K-FOOD Romania recently engaged with the local cultural scene at the Bookfest International Book Fair, where it partnered with Litera Publishing to create the “Asian Literature Lovers’ Corner” – a unique space combining books and traditional Korean snacks like kimbap.

The Pitesti opening extends this cultural storytelling approach, where food becomes a bridge between worlds, and every taste brings Korea closer to Romanian homes.
