Three new data centers in France for a safer payment network
Mastercard announced plans to open three new data centers in France, representing an investment of approximately €250 million. The move is part of a broader strategy to localize its payment infrastructure and strengthen network resilience across Europe.
According to the company, the new facilities will enhance processing capacity and ensure greater service continuity for clients across the European Union. They will join the 12 existing data centers already operating on the continent.

Millions rely on our technology every day – it must remain operational even in times of crisis,” Mastercard Europe stated.
Expanding European presence and strengthening cybersecurity
Since 2018, Mastercard has invested over €9 billion in security and innovation, building specialized teams across Europe, including in Ukraine.
In 2024, the company inaugurated its first European Cyber Resilience Center in Belgium and joined the EU Agency for Cybersecurity’s (ENISA) Partnership for Cybersecurity program.
