RED Society: national program offering discounted menstrual products and gynecological consultations for young women
Enroush and Medicover România have launched on April 2, 2026 the RED Society, a program designed for female students, providing access to menstrual products and medical services at reduced costs. The initiative comes as one in five young women in Europe faces menstrual poverty, according to a press release.
The program offers, for 12 months, 50% discounts on Enroush menstrual products and one gynecology consultation within the Medicover network, accessible through account registration on the RED Society platform.
Easier access to products and medical care
The organizers highlight that in Romania, the cost of menstrual hygiene products and access to gynecological care remain barriers. The impact includes school absenteeism and avoidance of preventive medical check-ups.
“We aim to turn access to menstrual health from a privilege into a right,” said Viorela Lucescu, Chief Marketing Officer at Enroush.
Continuing a high-impact campaign
The program builds on the “Spune-i pe nume” campaign, which gathered over 120,000 signatures supporting VAT reduction for menstrual hygiene products.
Medical and educational component
The medical component is supported by Medicover România, offering gynecological consultations at half price.
“The first gynecological visit can shape a young woman’s relationship with her health,” said Simona Gentimir.
The initiative also promotes health education and prevention, including topics such as contraception, HPV prevention, and regular check-ups.
Supported by student organizations
The program is backed by student organizations, making it easier for participants to enroll online via the RED Society platform.
