UniCredit Bank has introduced a new mortgage product designed to provide financial stability during the first years of repayment and competitive terms over the long run. The offer targets both standard home purchase loans and energy-efficient properties.
For standard home purchase mortgages, the bank offers a fixed interest rate of 4.69% per year for the first two years. After that period, the rate becomes variable, calculated as IRCC plus a 2.25% margin. To qualify for the reduced rate, clients must meet monthly turnover and life insurance requirements. If these conditions are not met, the standard rate applies, set at 5.69% per year for the first two years, followed by IRCC + 2.30%.

UniCredit also provides a Green Mortgage for energy-efficient homes rated class A or higher. This product features a fixed rate of 4.59% per year for the first two years, followed by a variable rate of IRCC + 2.20%. Eligibility requires a Premium current account package, monthly turnover, life insurance, and a My Home optional home insurance policy arranged through the bank.
RON 2,000 bonus for new borrowers
Alongside the interest rate structure, UniCredit runs the campaign “The mortgage loan comes with a gift, for whatever you want,” valid until April 30, 2026. Clients who take out a mortgage receive a RON 2,000 bonus, credited to their current account and available to cover loan-related expenses.
“Our goal is to support clients at one of the most important moments in their lives by offering financing solutions that are easy to plan and manage. Fixed rates in the first two years and preferential terms for energy-efficient homes contribute to a sustainable lending process,” said Antoaneta Curteanu, Executive Vice President Retail at UniCredit Bank.
