TOFF Galleries aims to go beyond traditional retail, offering a space that blends contemporary elegance with a strong cultural identity. According to TOFF Group founder Robert Coman, Gucci’s comeback reflects more than a commercial move.

“ The return of GUCCI to Bucharest is not just a commercial milestone, but also proof of the maturity of Romania’s luxury market. Our vision for TOFF Galleries has always been to create not merely a retail space, but a cultural institution of contemporary elegance (…)”, he stated.

Gucci exited the Romanian market in January 2022, when the Calagiu family, active in the construction sector, closed the Bucharest store they had operated under a franchise model for over a decade. The closure followed a strategic shift by the brand’s parent company, which decided to discontinue all franchise-operated locations globally.

Gucci first entered the Romanian market in 2010, brought in by entrepreneur Alessandro Amato, who later transferred the franchise to the Calagiu family. The brand’s return marks a new phase for Gucci in Romania, aligned with a more mature local luxury market.
