Lucid Air Grand Touring broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the longest distance driven by an electric vehicle on a single charge, reaching 1,205 km from St. Moritz to Munich.
Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID), the maker of some of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles, has set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the longest distance driven by an electric vehicle on a single charge. The Lucid Air Grand Touring achieved an extraordinary 1,205 kilometers (approximately 749 miles) without recharging, traveling from St. Moritz, Switzerland, to Munich, Germany, across alpine roads, highways, and secondary routes.
This performance surpasses the previous record of 1,045 kilometers, set in June 2025, by an impressive 160 kilometers.
“This range record is a defining milestone — yet another clear proof of Lucid’s technological edge,” said Eric Bach, Senior Vice President of Product and Chief Engineer at Lucid. “Our vehicles combine world-class efficiency with state-of-the-art powertrains, ultra-high voltage architecture, and the most advanced battery management systems available, allowing Lucid vehicles to travel farther on less energy than any other.”
Lucid Air Grand Touring: The Undisputed Range King
At the heart of the Lucid Air Grand Touring lies Lucid’s proprietary, cutting-edge electric drive technology. With a WLTP range of 960 kilometers and energy consumption of just 13.5 kWh/100 km, the model leads the industry in efficiency. It delivers 831 horsepower, reaches a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph), and thanks to ultra-fast charging capability, can gain up to 400 km of range in just 16 minutes.
The sleek interior offers premium materials, ample space, and comfort for up to five passengers.
A Record-Breaking Partnership
This new GUINNESS title marks the second successful collaboration between Lucid and Umit Sabanci, a London-based entrepreneur with a passion for setting and breaking records. In 2024, Sabanci set the record for the most countries driven through on a single EV charge, covering nine countries in a Lucid Air Grand Touring.
“When I finished the nine-country drive in 2024, that was just the beginning,” said Sabanci. “This new achievement takes things even further. I’m proud to be part of a movement that proves electric mobility isn’t just the future — it’s already redefining what’s possible today.”
