Expansion of the Romanian Airline’s International Network
100% Romanian airline AnimaWings has launched its first regular flights from Bucharest to Istanbul and Tel Aviv, two of the city’s most requested destinations. The new routes will operate five and three times per week, respectively, as part of the airline’s international expansion plan, which includes 12 new routes.
Also in October, AnimaWings will operate flights from Cluj-Napoca and Iași to Istanbul, following the launch last week of its first regular flights from Timișoara and Craiova to the Turkish metropolis. In total, Romania will be connected to Turkey through 28 weekly flights from five airports.

Winter Season and Premium Services
During the winter season (October 26, 2025 – March 28, 2026), the airline expects more than 600 flights between Romania and Istanbul, carrying over 70,000 passengers. “We offer Romanians fast, full-service connections to one of the world’s most important destinations and aviation hubs. At the same time, Turkey’s business community will have access to all regions of Romania in less than two hours of flight,” said Marius Pandel, President of AnimaWings.
Flights to Tel Aviv will operate three times a week on Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats. The airline focuses on promoting incoming tourism and premium services, including hot onboard catering, kosher meals, two cabin bags included, and free seat selection.
According to AnimaWings, Istanbul and Tel Aviv are among the top three destinations with the most flights from Bucharest, after the London region, each connected by around 50 weekly flights. Starting this fall, the airline adds 12 new routes to European and international hubs: Prague, Munich, Sofia, Dubai, Stockholm, Paris, Tel Aviv, and Istanbul. AnimaWings’ fleet currently has five Airbus aircraft and is expected to grow to 18 by 2027, as part of an investment plan exceeding 1 billion USD.
