The benchmark BET index rose by 0.25% on Tuesday, September 30, marking its fifth consecutive increase and setting a second all-time high in a row at 21,337 points, according to data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
For the first nine months of the year, BET advanced 27.6%, while BET-TR, which includes dividends distributed to investors, climbed 34.3%.

Within the BET structure, the biggest gains came from Transgaz (+3.7%), Antibiotice Iași (+3.2%), and Sphera Franchise Group (+1.9%). Other significant increases were recorded by BRD SocGen (+1.7%), TTS (+1.6%), Transelectrica (+1.2%), and MedLife (+1%). On the downside, Purcari dropped 2.1%, while Digi fell 1.8%.
Liquidity reached 66 million lei, well below the 2025 daily average of 169 million lei, largely supported by the Fidelis government bonds program.
In Western Europe, the Stoxx 600 index gained 0.2% as investors monitored trade tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump and the prolonged political deadlock in the United States.
On Wall Street, the Dow Jones and S&P 500 slipped 0.1-0.2% at the start of the session, but were on track to close September with unusually strong monthly gains of 2-4%, CNBC reported.
