ENEVO Group, the largest Romanian EPC contractor specialized in renewable energy projects, has started in 2026 the construction of the Ogrezeni photovoltaic power plant, with an installed capacity of 761 MWp (534 MWac), according to Forbes. The project ranks among the largest hybrid renewable energy developments in Europe and marks a key milestone in the company’s evolution, strengthening its position as a relevant regional player in the energy transition.

The Ogrezeni project includes both the photovoltaic plant and a 400 kV transformer station for grid connection. This setup highlights ENEVO Group’s ability to deliver large-scale energy projects with high technical and administrative complexity, in line with strict quality and operational safety standards.

“Ogrezeni is a benchmark utility-scale project for the Romanian energy sector, with a major impact on national energy security objectives and the transition to green energy. Selecting a Romanian contractor shows that local expertise can deliver projects of this scale,” said Cristian Pîrvulescu, CEO and co-founder of ENEVO Group.

Accelerated investments and international expansion

In 2025, ENEVO Group reported a turnover of €135 million and estimates revenues exceeding €350 million in 2026, driven by increased investments in renewable energy and grid infrastructure. The company’s portfolio includes major commissioned photovoltaic projects such as Chișineu-Criș, Teiuș, Giurgiu, Satu Mare, Gogoșu, and Titu.

Currently, ENEVO Group is building more than 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects, over 1 GWh in energy storage solutions, and ten high-voltage substations. The company is also expanding its dispatching capabilities through its proprietary ENEVO OmniSOC platform and continues its international expansion strategy, with operations in Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
