Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Romania can apply in January for full funding to obtain a driving licence through the “Driving Licence for the Future” program, run by the Fundația Pentru Comunitate. The initiative operates through a project-based selection process and focuses on improving access to employment opportunities.
According to a statement cited by Agerpres, applications can be submitted online or by post until January 27. The application form and detailed eligibility criteria are available on the foundation’s official website.

The program targets young people aged 18 to 25 for whom holding a driving licence is essential or clearly beneficial for employment. Funding covers driving school fees and related expenses for licence categories B, C or D, including special vehicles such as agricultural or forestry tractors, trolleybuses and trams.
Launched in 2015 and now in its 11th edition, the program has supported 412 young people so far, with funding provided by MOL România as part of its long-term social responsibility initiatives.
