Goldbach Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Hubix, a Romanian investment and management company, securing more than 5.3 million euros to develop four new retail parks under the K2 brand. According to the company, the combined Gross Development Value of the projects is estimated at 24 million euros upon completion.

The investment covers a retail park in Târgu Mureș — planned in two phases — and three additional developments in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Ștefăneștii Noi (Argeș County) and Șimian (Mehedinți County). The four parks are scheduled for completion between December 2026 and early 2027.

Once finalized, the K2 Retail Properties portfolio will grow by more than 12,000 sqm of leasable area, reaching a total of 25,000 sqm across 15 operational retail parks.

“A strategic investor like Hubix allows us to benefit from their expertise in capital structuring and investment strategy. Goldbach Group will continue to oversee the strategic direction of the projects to ensure quality and sustainability,” said Florentin Avădanei, founder and co-CEO of Goldbach Group.

Daniel Tudor, Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Hubix, noted that the partnership aligns with the company’s long-term plans: “Hubix expands its diversified investment portfolio by adding modern retail. We bring not only capital but also an ecosystem of expertise in financing, due diligence, governance and operations, ensuring predictability and scalability for each project.”

First K2 developments

The first equity investment agreement targets K2 Târgu Mureș, a non-food retail gallery with a total leasable area of 6,716 sqm — 3,016 sqm in phase one and 3,700 sqm in phase two. The project will be directly connected to a Lidl store and is located near Maurer Residence, in an area with more than 70,000 inhabitants within a 2 km radius.

K2 Drobeta will span 2,864 sqm and include a Penny supermarket along with a 1,644 sqm non-food section. The site is located on a major road near the city’s train station and port.

The retail parks planned for Ștefăneștii Noi and Șimian will feature leasable areas of 1,285 sqm and 1,770 sqm, respectively.
