Heisterkamp Transportation Solutions, a Dutch logistics leader with over a century of experience, is expanding its Eastern European operations by opening a new facility within the Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP). The investment strengthens the business ties between Moldova and the Benelux countries.

Founded in 1919, Heisterkamp operates a fleet of 800 trucks, 9,000 trailers, and offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and Romania. The company’s integrated model covers road transport, vehicle leasing, maintenance, and advanced digital solutions for logistics optimization.
The investment follows discussions at the BENELUX–Moldova Economic Forum 2025, which helped identify new avenues for cooperation.
Moldova – a growing hub for BPO and technology services
Heisterkamp’s new operations will be hosted at the Moldova Innovation Technology Park, Europe’s first e-Park, offering a flat 7% tax rate, state guarantees through 2035, and innovative tools such as the IT Visa for international experts.
The facility will create new jobs in logistics and data analytics, contributing to the transfer of technological know-how and Moldova’s integration into European logistics networks.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, BPO service exports grew from $62 million in 2010 to $268 million in 2024, marking a 13% year-on-year increase.

With this step, Moldova further cements its reputation as a reliable, tech-oriented destination for foreign investors and a strategic partner for Europe’s smart logistics future.
