IKEA Romania reports 8.6% sales growth in fiscal year 2025

Strong performance across retail and online channels
IKEA Romania closed its 2025 fiscal year (September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025) with an 8.6% increase in total sales and revenue exceeding 1.539 billion RON. Over 43.9 million products were sold, while the two stores in Bucharest welcomed 6.2 million visitors. The online platform recorded 37 million visits and 414,000 orders.

“In a year marked by rising living costs and economic uncertainty, we focused on keeping prices affordable and improving customer experience. We lowered prices on selected products without compromising quality and invested in digital services and our customer meeting points,” said Vincent Devloo, Area Retail Manager IKEA SEE (Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine).

Best-selling products and new local initiatives
Furniture accounted for 66% of total sales, with PAX, HEMNES, KOMPLEMENT, and BRIMNES leading in popularity. Home accessories represented 34%, with textile collections DVALA and NATTJASMIN performing strongly, and the OFTAST 25 white plate surpassing one million units sold.

In 2025, IKEA opened its first Planning and Order Studio in Bucharest to help customers design and personalize their living spaces.

At the Ingka Group level, IKEA Retail reported €39 billion in total sales, with a 1.6% increase in volume and a 1.6% decline in value compared to the previous fiscal year.
