Bosch Romania has announced a major change in its leadership structure. Dan Lăzărescu has been appointed as the new General Manager of Robert Bosch S.R.L. and Representative of the Bosch Group in Romania, succeeding Mihai Boldijar, who led local operations for ten years. This transition marks a new stage for the Romanian automotive industry, nearly a year after Christian von Albrichsfeld’s departure from Continental Romania.
A New Chapter for Bosch Romania
After three decades with the company, ten of which he spent as General Manager of Bosch Romania, Mihai Boldijar is stepping down. Under his leadership, Bosch strengthened its position in the local market, developed sustainable operations, and established leading technology centers. Boldijar also served as Vice President of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) and as a member of the ACAROM Board of Directors.

The new General Manager, Dan Lăzărescu, brings over 24 years of experience in engineering and management, including 18 years at the international level. A graduate and doctoral candidate of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, he joined Bosch in 2001 in Stuttgart and has led teams of over 500 specialists in Germany, Hungary, and Romania.
Throughout his career, Lăzărescu has contributed to hardware and software development projects in the automotive industry and has played an active role in the expansion of the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj, one of the group’s key global technology hubs.
“Over the years, I have learned that challenges can be turned into opportunities and that human resources are the company’s strongest asset—one that I intend to fully leverage.
I would like to thank Mihai Boldijar for his visionary leadership and for the way he has guided the company over the past ten years. Mihai has retired after an impressive 30-year career with Bosch. I owe him much for his example of consistency and dedication.
I look to the future with confidence, convinced that together we will continue to build a strong, resilient, high-performing, and innovative Bosch in Romania,” wrote Dan Lăzărescu on his Linkedin page.
