Ynet Global highlights Romania’s capital as a smarter, budget-friendly choice
As popular destinations grow increasingly expensive, travelers are turning to cities that offer comparable experiences at lower prices. Ynet Global examined where tourists can fly in 2026 and suggests Bucharest instead of Prague, alongside swaps such as Batumi instead of Mykonos, as ways to save without compromising the experience.
“2026 may be the year of smarter travel choices: fewer classic destinations and more alternatives offering similar experiences at significantly lower prices,” the publication reports, pointing to more flight options, tougher airline competition and a favorable dollar as factors expanding travel possibilities.

Why Bucharest over Prague?
Ynet Global highlights Bucharest’s impressive architecture, lively nightlife and fast-growing food scene, all at much lower prices than Central Europe’s traditional hotspots.

- Tel Aviv – Bucharest flight (Tarom, Aug 2–9): $237
- Tel Aviv – Prague flight (Israir, same dates): $417
