Nuclearelectrica deposits an additional 413 million lei at state-owned EximBank

Nuclearelectrica (SNN), a company in which the Romanian state holds an 82.5% stake and which has a market capitalization of 14.7 billion lei, established a new term deposit at Exim Banca Românească on November 19, 2025. The deposit amounts to 413.25 million lei, carries an annual interest rate of 7.1%, and matures on June 18, 2026.

Following this latest placement, SNN’s cumulative deposits with EximBank reach 848.2 million lei. The total surpasses 10% of the company’s net turnover from the most recent annual financial statement, triggering the obligation to publicly disclose the transaction. SNN notes that these deposits cannot be extended and represent temporary placements of the company’s available liquidity.
