Romanian courier company Sameday has invested €80 million this year to expand its delivery capacity and easybox network, significantly exceeding its initial investment plan of €60 million.

“We’ve invested heavily in software technology, warehousing, sorting systems, and regional development. Over the past five years, we’ve invested more than €250 million, including €80 million this year alone, exceeding our expectations,” said Lucian Baltaru, CEO of Sameday Group.

Earlier this summer, the company announced its intention to acquire Cargus, another major logistics player in Romania — a move that could create a new market leader. The deal is currently awaiting approval from the Competition Council.

Around 25% of this year’s investments were allocated to regional development in Hungary and Bulgaria, with additional funds directed toward sorting technology across six hubs and the construction of a new logistics center.

These investments have enabled Sameday to process up to one million parcels per day across its main hubs in Bucharest, Sibiu, and Brașov, strengthening its position among the top courier companies in the region.

The company projects a 20% revenue increase in 2025, reaching 1.4 billion lei, as e-commerce growth continues to fuel demand for efficient delivery services in Central and Eastern Europe.
