Customers can automatically save money by reaching fitness goals using iPhone and Apple Watch
Banca Comercială Română has launched “Move & Save” in its George banking app, a first for the local market, according to Forbes. The new feature allows customers to save money automatically when they reach daily physical activity goals tracked via Apple Watch or the Apple Fitness app on iPhone.
The feature links financial and physical wellbeing by triggering an automatic transfer of a predefined amount from the current account to a savings account or investment plan as soon as daily movement goals are met.

“With Move & Save, we give our customers the opportunity to turn every step into a form of saving. It is an invitation to balance physical and financial health, naturally integrated into everyday life,” said Petruț Lixandru, Deputy Executive Director Retail Distribution at BCR.
Move & Save can be activated directly in the George app by connecting the current account to Apple Health. Users can choose how much to save for each completed goal, between 1 and 500 lei. When all three daily activity rings on Apple Watch are closed, the transfer is executed instantly. The feature can be adjusted or disabled at any time, and personal data is not shared with Apple.
