Bogdan Putinică, one of the most prominent leaders in Romania’s IT industry, has announced his departure from the leadership of Microsoft Romania after four years at the helm of the local branch of the American tech giant.
“I have decided to close a remarkable chapter in my career at Microsoft, and I do so with gratitude and pride. (…) My greatest achievements are not only tied to growth, but to developing capabilities, confidence, and a better future for my country,” wrote Bogdan Putinică on LinkedIn.
The Next Step Remains Unannounced
Putinică has not yet revealed his next professional move: “As for me… Careers are long, missions evolve. I will share more next week about what comes next. In the present or in the future, I remain dedicated to the same goal: to build things that matter – with speed, responsibility, and people at the center.”
Throughout his career, Bogdan Putinică has held several leadership roles within Microsoft, including Country General Manager for Romania since November 2021. His responsibilities later expanded to include the Republic of Moldova, and, as of July 2024, a broader region covering the Baltic states, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine.
