The DraculaLand project has been officially unveiled in Romania as a privately funded development worth over €1 billion, aiming to become Europe’s largest integrated destination for entertainment, retail and technology, according to Economedia. The project will span 160 hectares, located 20 minutes from Bucharest and 15 minutes from Otopeni International Airport.

DraculaLand will combine tourism, culture, retail, technology and lifestyle into a multi-dimensional entertainment ecosystem designed for the next generation of global visitors. Key components include a theme park covering over 780,000 square meters with six immersive zones and more than 40 major attractions, a 22,500-seat multifunctional arena for concerts, festivals and esports competitions, a luxury outlet with over 70 brands, three hotels, a large aqua park with thermal spa, a 4.5-kilometer racing circuit, and a dedicated Business Accelerator & Tech Hub for startups in gaming, AI and creative digital industries.

“DraculaLand brings together everything I have learned in real estate: discipline, vision and the ability to manage complex teams. More than that, it adds a story that gives meaning to every square meter built. For me, DraculaLand is a national project and a symbol that Romania can build landmarks, not just developments,” said founder Dragoș Dobrescu.

The concept and masterplan were developed alongside an international team of experts in architecture, engineering, finance and innovation. Gino Garbellini, founding partner of Piuarch Milano, described the project as “a cultural statement where architecture, technology, creativity and lifestyle meet in a rare European configuration”.

A key innovation is the DraculaLand Metaverse, a full digital twin built in Unreal Engine 5, which will allow users to explore and interact with the destination virtually. The ecosystem will integrate DraculaCoin, NFT-based digital ownership, AI-driven personalization and real-time connections with physical events.

The estimated impact includes over 5,000 jobs, around 3 million visitors per year and a total economic contribution of approximately €5 billion over the next decade. The development involves major international partners from architecture, engineering, consulting, esports and legal advisory.
