Somfy, a global leader in home and building automation, has appointed Małgorzata Jasińska as Managing Director for Eastern Europe. She will oversee regional operations from Warsaw, reporting directly to the Group’s executive management.
“With over 20 years of international marketing and leadership experience, Małgorzata Jasińska has led major transformation and development projects across global organizations. Since 2024, as Marketing Director for Eastern Europe, she has played a key role in repositioning Somfy in the region and promoting a culture of innovation and performance,” the company stated.

Eastern Europe – a key pillar in Somfy’s strategy
“Eastern Europe has extraordinary potential to drive the shift toward smarter, more sustainable homes and buildings. Our goal is to build strong local partnerships rooted in innovation, digitalization, and environmental responsibility,” said Małgorzata Jasińska, Somfy’s new Managing Director for Eastern Europe.
Martin Salomé continues as Managing Director for Hungary, the Baltics, the Balkans, and Romania, while Virgil Lixandru remains Sales Manager for Romania, Moldova, and the Baltics, ensuring close ties with local clients.
Former regional head Yann Barou has been promoted to Vice President for Emerging Markets on Somfy’s Executive Committee, overseeing Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.
Driving innovation and sustainability

Virgil Lixandru added: “Romanian consumers are increasingly embracing smart living solutions. Through strong partnerships and continuous education, we aim to bring Somfy’s global expertise closer to local communities.”
Founded in France in 1969, Somfy employs over 6,000 people, operates eight factories in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and reported €1.44 billion in sales in 2023. The company has been active in Romania since 2006.
